Foundation Clothes 523 Almajirai, IDPs In Yobe

Date:

The Abdulrahman Bin Auf Charity Foundation (ABF) has clothed 523
Almajirai and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by Boko
Haram insurgency in Yobe state.
The various wear clothes; were also distributed to orphans, vulnerable
and the less privileged in society.
While flagging off the distribution Wednesday in Maisandari ward,
Damaturu; ABF’s Secretary, Ibrahim Gwiokura disclosed: “This
distribution of clothes targeted 523 beneficiaries.
“It is our desire to assist the less privileged, less privileged
individuals, Almajirai, IDPs, orphans and the vulnerable.”
“Worried by what we saw, especially the kind of clothes the kids in
such areas were putting on we partnered with the Yobe State Emergency
Management Agency (SEMA) to acquire support for this exercise.”
He added that Foundation during the Ramadan assisted the vulnerable
with foodstuffs.
According to him, the distribution of food and nonfood items; has
cushioned the sufferings of the affected people.
While lamenting their living conditions, he said: “After assessing the
situation, we decided to obtain the ready-made clothes for the kids in
IDP camps.”
“The idea is for the kids to be wearing the clothes so they appear
better among their counterparts; and not just keep them away.” he
said.
“We are in the process of accomplishing the same task for the male folks.”
He therefore, appealed to individuals and corporate organizations to
always assist the needy either in cash or kind to alleviate their
sufferings.
