To properly situate the policing architecture of Ondo Police Command to meet the security needs of the people of Ondo State, CP Salami Amidu Bolaji has taken over the mantle of leadership of Ondo Police Command.
CP Salami while taking over from CP Undie Adie said, he is in Ondo State to provide a positive policing impact, rendered in humane policing style, and therefore seeks the cooperation of all citizens of the State to enable his Command provide policing duties based on International best practices.
“I have always known that policing can be highly regarded when it turned out to be what we are always seeking, a real community of dedicated people with great ideas to ensure a watertight security of the environment we live in. It is therefore my belief that if we all pull ourselves together in the fight against insecurity, crimes and criminality in this State, we can surmount any criminal gang that may want to confront us as a people. This is why I am seeking your cooperation and support to enable me provide the kind of policing leadership we all desire”
CP Salami Amidu Bolaji has served in various capacity, in various formations, departments and Commands across the country.
He has served as Personal Assistant to an Inspector General of Police, served in Lagos Police Command as Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at various points in time. He was Head of Real Estate Fraud, Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi, Lagos, a former Director, Organizational Support, EFCC, Abuja, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Inspectorate, Force Headquarters, Abuja, DCP, SCIID, Panti, Lagos, DCP, SCIID, Bauchi Police Command, Principal Staff Officer to the Chairman, Police Service Commission, and so many other positions to mention but this few.
To enhance his policing capacity and capability, CP Salami Amidu Bolaji has attended various courses home and abroad. Some of which includes – Workshop on Automated Fingerprint Intervention System, Washington, USA, Post Graduate Studies in Anti-Corruption, Hong Kong, and Interpol General Conference, Hungary.
On the African soil he has attended workshop on Drug Abuse, Accra Ghana, Interpol African Regional Conference, Botswana; and in Nigeria, CP Salami Bolaji has attended some of the most outstanding courses for the effectiveness of policing in Nigeria – Senior Command Course, Police Staff College, Jos, Computer and Appreciation of National Data – University of Ibadan and Interpol Sub-regional Conference, Abuja Nigeria.
Until his present posting to Ondo Police Command as the substantive Commissioner of Police, CP Salami was the Commissioner of Police in charge, Anti-Fraud Unit, Criminal Investigation Department, Alagbon, Lagos.
He holds a Bachelor and a Masters degrees in Sociology and is happily married.
