Yobe Governor Tasks Muslims To Learn Lessons Of Ramadan

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has, tasked Muslims to learn and
imbibe lessons during the Ramadan fast.
Buni gave the task Sunday in a statewide broadcast in Damaturu, to
mark Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration across the state.
He congratulated Muslims for the successful completion of 30-day Ramadan fast.
“With the completion of Ramadan, I urge all of you to continue to pray
both for the state and the nation,” he said.
He said the people should be guided by the lessons of peace, love,
humility, sympathy and charity.
According to him, these were preached to all Muslims during the one
month religious obligations
While reflecting on lesions of Ramadan, Buni said: “As a people, we
have every reason to be thankful to God for the gift of life and good
health to witness Eid-el-Fitr.
“We were faced with recent challenges. We have individually and
collectively lost loved ones.
“We pray to God grant them eternal rest and, to their relations, the
fortitude to bear the irreparable loss from the coronavirus (COVID-19)
pandemic.”
He was also grateful to the people for keeping faith with the state
government at this critical time.
“Your kind prayers and steadfastness in this government has given us
the encouragement to remain focused in the discharge of our
responsibilities,” he said.
He therefore; urged the people to continue praying for the state and
nation for God’s protection and guidance.
“This administration will continue to give security to lives and
property, economic well-being, infrastructural development and general
prosperity of people,” he assured.
