The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, CP Undie Adie, psc+, has confirmed the rescue of Captain DL. Gana, attached to SVP 33 Brigade, Bauchi, from his abductors.
CP Adie said it took the combined efforts of Police operatives and their Military counterparts to rescue the Military officer unhurt in a forest between Imoga/Ibilo in Edo State.
It would be recalled that Captain DL. Gana was kidnapped on May 11, 2020, along with three others while travelling from Abuja to Ibadan on official assignment
CP Adie, commended the prompt efforts of his men and the Military personnel, whom he described as “strategic partners” for their unalloyed support in the rescue operation.
He further added, nothing is more critical to him than the peace, safety and security of the people of Ondo State, as he enjoins them to always give useful information to the Command for prompt services.
