Troops’ Sacrifices, Commitments To End B’Haram/ISWAP Terrorism, Declares Buratai

The Chief of Army Staff Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai; has declared that
troops’ sacrifices and professionalism are twin means to end Boko
Haram terrorism for peace in Northeast.
According to him, troops’ sacrifices and commitments could
professionally end Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa
Province (ISWAP) terrorism.
Buratai tasked the troops during a Special Easter Monday luncheon at
Army’s Special Super Camp, Ngamdu in Kaga council, Borno state.
While serving the troops with Easter luncheon, he said: “Let me use
this opportunity to call on all of demonstrate more commitments, zeal
and determination to ensure speedy defeat of terrorists in Nigeria.”
On his part, he told the troops of his unflinching support and that of
the Federal Government to crush terrorists soon.
His words: “Let me assure you of our total support to bring Boko
Haram/ISWAP terrorism to an end.
“As you can see, we have started getting some consignments of our
needs, what we want from you is total loyalty to the nation and the
President.
“This is to ensure destruction of terrorism in our country very soon.
I assure you I will be with you until substantial progress has been
made in this regard.”
Buratai also took time to serve some soldiers, interacted with
officers and men during the morale boosting event.
Troops in return; were highly elated for the caring/inspiring
leadership of the Chief of Army Staff.
The front line event was accompanied by the Chief of Training and
Operations Army. Maj-Gen. EO Udoh, Corps Commander Engineers; Maj-Gen
JS Malu, Theatre Commander Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole;
Maj-Gen. Farouk Yahaya, Commander Sector 2 Brig Gen LA Araba, Brigade
Commanders, Commanding Officers and a number of gallant and resilient
troops of the theatre command.
