Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum; has said that ‘efficient
time management and keeping to promises;’ are yardsticks of assessing
public office holders in the country, like Chief of Staff to the
President.
Zulum spoke Sunday in Maiduguri, to condole the younger brother to
late Mallam Abba Kyari, Alhaji Baba Zannah Arjinoma at his Maiduguri
residence.
Arjinoma is also the District Head of Banki, a border town with
Cameroon in Borno state.
He said the late Kyari; is a humble and highly disciplined public
officer whose dedication to work was uncommon.
His words: “I have had six official appointments with him within the
last ten months and in all the six appointments, he scheduled to see
me 8am in his office at the Villa.
“Surprisingly; all the times, I was there before the scheduled
appointments and there was never a time I met his absence.
“He was always in office ahead of our 8am appointments. I never had to
wait for him and he did not disappoint me for once.”
He said that the deceased was always in office ahead of the 8am
appointments and never had to wait for him.
“He did not disappoint me for once,” he said.
During the condolence visit, Zulum also led top government officials,
including Sen. Mohammed Ali Ndume, Secretary to the Borno state
Government and a dozen officials to condole late Kyari’s younger
brother, Arjinoma.

late Chief of Staff and in accordance to Islamic rites.
Fielding questions from journalists, after prayers, he reiterated: “I
never had to wait for him,” saying that; “Kyari did not disappoint me
for once during my 10-month administration of state.”

me, honesty, the efficient time management and keeping of promises,
were among the major yardsticks of assessing public office holders,
like that of Chief of Staff to the President, our late Mallam Kyrari.”
He noted that the late Kyari was a man of integrity, who served the
President with the highest commitment, loyalty and sincerity.
He said late Abba Kyari had played silent but crucial role in Borno’s
fight against Boko Haram, mitigation of humanitarian crisis,
rehabilitation and resettlement of victims through his legitimate
