coronavirus : Rivers State Government receives Medical Consumables from NCDMB

Rivers State Government has commended the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) for donating Medical Consumables to assist in the fight against the spread of coronavirus. 

Receiving the Medical Consumables on behalf of the State Government at the Government House,  Port Harcourt on Friday,  Rivers State Commissioner for Health,  Professor Chike Princewill said the donation would assist the government in tackling the pandemic. 

He said: “We are grateful for those who have come to our aid at this trying moment. It is a trying moment for mankind all over the world because of  the  COVID-19 .

“For this body that brought the medical consumables and items including beds,hand sanitizers disposables, coveralls,we appreciate them.

“The Rivers State government appreciates their efforts. We also have a delivery of a brand new ambulance.”


General Manager, Corporate Communication and Zonal Coordination, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, Dr. Ginah O. Ginah said the medical consumables were donated to assist Rivers State Government fight the spread of coronavirus.

He said: ” The mission is to hand over COVID-19 palliatives to the government of Rivers State. This is  to assist the Government in fighting the spread of coronavirus.

“Rivers State happens to be one of our host communities, because we operate from Yenagoa where our headquarters is located. 
We have brought these items to the state and you have seen the items.

“We have here one large truck filled with items and two other smaller ones. We have donated   ambulance we . We are very happy to be of assistance to the Rivers State government.”
