Buni’s New Spokesman Excited Over DG Appointment

The Director General on media and press affairs to Governor, Mai Mala
Buni, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed; said he is excited of love and
solidarity exhibited by friends, relations and colleagues over his new
appointment in Yobe state.
Mamman conveyed the “love and solidarity messages” on Saturday on his
Facebook page in Damaturu, the state capital.
He said that the solidarity exhibited over his new appointment of
Director General, indicated the popularity and acceptance of
Governor’s 10 months of “integrity, accountability and transparency to
the people.
“My appointment to be the DG to Governor; has also indicated the
popularity and acceptability of Buni’s administration within and
outside the state,” he said.
According to him; the outpours of love and solidarity; have also
reminded him of challenging tasks ahead of him.
He therefore, solicited for cooperation for him to succeed on his new
job in the state.
While appreciating the Governor for finding him worthy to serve, he
said: “I appreciated my predecessor, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, who the
current Commissioner of Information, Home Affairs, Culture.
“Bego has already built a vibrant Directorate for the Media within the
last decade.”
Mohammed Continued:  “The last 48 hours have really been a turning
point in my life. Your show of love, prayers, good wishes, encomiums
which flow through my phone in form of calls, text messages and on my
Facebook account is not just about the popularity of my appointment.
“But also the acceptance of the Governor Mai Mala Buni APC led government.”
“My special appreciation goes to my boss, the Executive Governor of
Yobe State, His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni (Chairman Gujba) for
the trust, confidence and finding me worthy of this appointment.
“Your show of solidarity has also frankly; thrown a challenge to me on
the enormity of the task before me.
“I’m therefore, confident that the same support and prayers out poured
of sustained will; provide the desired roadmap for success and growth.
“I wish to thank my predecessor, Bego, the Hon. Commissioner for
Information for building a very vibrant Media Directorate.
I am also confident that his support and cordial working relationship
will contribute to our collective success in the task of providing
this administration and State Government in general a robust positive
media image. Once again, I appreciate you all.”
