…WARNS AGAINST ATTACKS ON GOV DICKSON
The Bayelsa State Chapter òf the Peoples Democratic Party has again called on the 21 aspirants òf the party to devote their energy and attention to their electoral campaigns rather than indulging in acts inimical to the unity of the party.
The State Secretary òf the party, Chief Godspower Keku, warned aspirants against subversive activities capable of jeopardizing the unity and cohesion within the party.
Keku also urged the aspirants desist from launching acerbic attacks on the person of the Governor who according to him has provided leadership and nourished PDP for almost eight years.
The PDP State Scribe was reacting to fabricated publication about a non existent conflict purportedly between him and the governor.
Keku said that it was unfortunate that a person aspiring to fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming gubernatorial election would focus attention on fabricating stories against the person of the governor and officials of the party.
He noted that the party had become the preferred destination of all politicians with genuine intent to govern the state because of the sustained sacrifice and efforts of the party led by Governor Henry Seriake Dickson and the State Working Committee.
The PDP Scribe called on Nigerians to discountenance the false story which he described as the handiwork desperate politicians out to sacrifice party cohesion in the pursuit of the selfish agenda.
Keku added that those behind the story were the aspirants who sponsored five court cases against the successfully conducted local government elections in a surreptitious bid to stifle the process of delegate selection.
He lamented that some aspirants would rather make the governor the object of their needless invectives in a political contest of which he is not a contestant.
Keku stressed that was neither scolded nor attacked by the governor for any delegate related matter and urged Nigerians to ignore the desperate antics of politicians who don’t mean well for the party and the state.
