President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC); has swept the concluded presidential election in Borno state by 92.4% to beat his counterpart, Atiku Abubakar of People’s Democratic Party(PDP).Declaring Buhari’s victory on Tuesday in Maiduguri; at Kashim IbrahimCollege of Education (KICE), Prof. Saminu Ibrahim and Borno stateResident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mohammed Ibrahim, the ReturningOfficers said: “President Buhari of the APC; having satisfied therequirements of law and scored 838,052 votes, is hereby declared thewinner and returned elected.”He said the PDP candidate; Abubakar also polled 69,047 votes or 7.6per cent of the 907,099 valid votes cast at the presidential polls inBorno state.The breakdown of the election result from the 27 Local GovernmentAreas of Borno, are tabulated below:
