Dr Ezekiel Oyebola Oyemomi, one of the former Governorship Aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State of Osun, has congratulated the Governor- Elect of the State, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola, for his Victory in the just concluded governorship election in the State.
Dr Oyemomi declared that the State of Osun is lucky to have the APC back in power for continuity of the laudable programmes of the party, which would have been disrupted if another party had taken over. He said that the APC government of Oyetola would meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the state.
According to Dr. Oyemomi , “as the Chief of Staff to the outgoing Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, Oyetola knows the in and out of government and having been there for eight years, “he is aware of ‘where the shoe pinches’ and I am assured that he would address all the grey areas which have been identified as hindrances to governance”. He opined that what Osun needed at this crucial moment is a person who knows the act of governance, brilliant, intelligent and experienced person who could transform the state and take her to the next level. He claimed that “The Cap fits Oyetola”. He pointed out that, with the victory of Oyetola and the APC, the people Osun should hope for the best, saying “Our State has entered a new level of development and improvement on the existing infrastructures. What we all need to do now is to rally round Alh. Oyetola and the APC to bring the best and dividends of Democracy which would be unprecedented in the history of the State of Osun”.
Dr. Oyemomi posited that there was no doubt that the APC government may have made some mistakes which is normal in life, as humans are not infallible. He added that with the mandate which the people of State now gave the party through Oyetola, the mistakes of the past would be corrected and the people of the State would know at the end of the day that there couldn’t have been a better party to serve and protect their interests better than the APC. “The APC is the party of the people, and it would remain so, to give good governance to the people of Osun and at the federal level”. Dr. Oyemomi who felicitates with Oyetola on the occasion of his 64th birthday, also used this opportunity to commend the administration and the leadership of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for the good work he did for eight years, saying that through him Osun State has been transformed to a state that is recognized all over the world. “The foundation laid by his government is visible and well mapped out for whoever would govern Osun to built on. Aregbesola has done his best and Oyetola would continue the good work where he would stop. I therefore wish the Governor- Elect the best as he joins other patriots and Nationalists to build the of State to a level that would be envied all over”
