The son to Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Borno state, Ali Bukar Dalori has been has been kidnapped in Maiduguri. The 12-year old child, who was named after Governor Kashim Shettima; was abducted on Thursday at Capital School International premise by 1pm. Hundreds of sympathizers mostly supporters of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC have continued to troop into the residence of the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori over the kidnap of his little son, aged 12 who incidentally was a name sake to Governor Kashim Shettima. Confirming the incident yesterday in Maiduguri, Dalori said that the kidnapper disguised as a family member in veil went to the school and asked a school teacher to bring Kashim to her for attention. Unknowingly, the teacher (named withheld) called the child and told him that one of his family member came calling to take him home. The child innocently picked his school bag and followed the suspected kidnapper to an unknown destination. Family sources also said: “The mother and her children recently relocated from one of their apartment in the metropolis and relocated to another one near Giwa Barracks before yesterday’s incident. Dalori, who appeared to emotional laden said that after Kashim was abducted, the kidnappers called him on phone at 3pm on Thursday. “The abductors called the mother and linked her to her son (Masta Kashim) which they communicated with the mother,” he said. He however; did not disclose the content of the communications for security reasons, as whether or not kidnappers have demanded for ransom from the family to release the child. Dalori insisted that since the kidnappers communicated with his wife, no any other information were obtained, as the GSM number used to call the family could not be reached. He only solicited prayers from all and sundry for God’s intervene to save the child from being killed by abductors. “Kashim is a lovely bright son,” said the father.
