“Let me remind us that the Bill, the National Commission for the prohibition of Ilegal importation of Small Arms, Ammunitions and Light Wepons(Bill No 639 of 2014) moved by Honourable Ibrahim Bello, has scale through 2nd reading in the federal House of Representatives while awaiting that of the upper Legislative Chember”.
Okereke urged other security agencies in the country not to see their emergence as a threat but as friends in the Nigeria Project, adding that “The security situation in the country now should not be tacled by one agency no matter how much they claim to have been equipped”.
On the state of the nation, Okereke lamented on some politicians attitude of moving from one political party to another saying that “Such negative trend is only possible in Nigeria because most politicians are political prostitutes just to discredit President Buhari ambition in next year election”.
