Troops of 22 Brigade deployed for Operation Lafiya Dole have reunited four abducted children with their parents in Dikwa council of Borno state. The children were kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents in Ngafure village, before they were rescued at Maima village during clearance operation in Dikwa-Ngala axis. This was disclosed on Friday in a statement released in Maiduguri by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig-Gen. Texas Chukwu. According to him, a 36 hand grenades was also recovered during the rescue operations in the Boko Haram hideouts. He said the rescued children are currently receiving medical attention at a military health facility. “The Nigerian Army wishes to restate its commitment in rescuing all the hostages held by Boko Haram insurgents,” said Chukwu.
