…TASKS HIM ON GOOD GOVERNANCE

A group, Ibom Believers Assembly, (IBA), a conglomerates of think tanks who believe in inclusive leadership and good governance, has congratulated the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel for declaring to run as Governor for the 2019 elections Friday, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, under the umbrella of PDP.
Speaking at the event, The group leader, Nathaniel Hanson, said that It would have been a big disappointment had Gov. Udom not declared his interest to run considering his laudable achievements
“In just three years of leadership in the state has excelled above his peers, particularly, in the areas of wealth creation, employment generation, poverty alleviation, infrastructural consolidation, economic recovery and political inclusion”. Hanson noted
He also stressed that “The performance of governor Udom Emmanuel has in a greater dimension, brought about a greater and speedy paradigm shift from civil service dependent to a viable and robust industrialized economy”.
“With Udom steering the ship, 2019 is assured for the PDP in Akwa Ibom State.” he added
Hanson, while pointing out that there’s no limit to achievement through good leadership, also tasks Gov Udom on good governance “I appeal to Akwa Ibomites to support the benevolent gesture of the governor who has just declared his intention to go for second
term”.
On if the recent defection of Godswill Akpabio, Udom Emmanuel’s mentor from PDP will not hinder his success in 2019, Hanson said “Udom is not phased and cannot be phased, look at today‘s turnout and judge for yourself, 2019 belongs to Udom and PDP in Akwa Ibom State”
Also speaking, the Secretary General of the group, Comrade Ernest Awakessien noted that Governor Udom’s declaration is a victory for the entire Akwa Ibom state in terms of development, good governance and superlative performance,
“I am appealing to eligible indigenes and residents in the state who have not yet gotten their permanent voters card to take advantage of the recent INEC’s magnanimous extension of voters registration to get their PVC ready to vote en masse to return Governor Udom Emmanuel to the saddle in 2019”. Awakessien added.
Awakessien reechoed that the group has pledged her unflinching support and encouragement to governor Udom Emmanuel, “IBA will do all within her powers to mobilize and provide ceaseless support towards his second term bid come 2019”.
Meanwhile, the Ibom Believers Assembly had long started door-to-door; person-to-person grassroot mobilization to draw up massive support of eligible voters for governor Udom Emmanuel in the soon to come February, 2019 gubernatorial election.
