GOV AHMED CHARGES NEWLY SWORN IN COMMISSIONERS TO BE INNOVATIVE, RESULTS- FOCUSED TUNDE AKANBI ILORIN

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has charged the newley sworn in commissioners to be innovative, diligent and result-focused.
At the swearing ceremony that took place at the Government House, Ilorin, Governor Ahmed explained that his government reconstituted the State Executive Council with the injection of new hands to complement reappointed members in the government’s determination to reinvigorate the business of governance.
He charged them to implement government’s programmes with the required vigor and commitment to impact positively on the lives of the citizenry.
According to him, the new members of the executive council are coming on board at a critical moment in the life of the government.
The governor explained that the new commissioners were selected based on demonstrated capacity for performance and commitment to the interest of the state and its people.
Governor Ahmed advised the commissioners to approach Government’s business with transparency and making performance their guiding principle.
He also enjoined them to effectively utilize the competent workforce in the State to effect accelerated development, progress and change.
Governor Ahmed maintained that their appointment is call to higher service, not an opportunity for self-promotion, a time to perform rather than stagnate and to focus on results rather than obstacles.
The commissioners are Alhaji Muyideen Alalade, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Mallam Habeeb Saidu, Ministry of Local Government and Cheiftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Aro Yahaya, Ministry of Works and Transport, Hajia Bilikisu Oniyangi, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Alhaji Yusuf Abdulkadir and Ministry of Water Resources
Others are Hajia Taibat Ayinke Ahmed, Ministry of Women Affairs, Mr Bamidele Adegoke – Ministry of Agriculture, Doctor Aminat Ahmed – Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Usman Rifun – Ministry of Health, Barrister Abdullahi Saadudeen Alikinla – Minisitry of Tertiary Education and Alhaji Demola Banu – Ministry of Finance
Also included are Mr Amos Justus Sayo – Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Mallam Eleja Taiwo Banu – Ministry of Energy, Mr. Surajudeen Akanbi – Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Mr Ishak Mohammed Sabi – Ministry of Information and Communication, Mallam Ahmed Alhasssan – Ministry of Industries and Solid Minerals, Alhaji Wasiu Odewale – Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and Alhaji Kamaldeen Ajibade – Ministry of Justice
