The former Governor of Yobe State, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim and currently representing Yobe East Senatorial District, has yesterday (Saturday) visited the widow of late Jonathan Gopep, a reporter with Yobe State Television and a freelance journalist with Channels Television. Bukar in company of his wife, Hajiya Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim, the minister of State Foreign Affairs with a multitude of other sympathizers thronged the residents of the late journalist at Malari ward in Damaturu. The condolence visit was made shortly after attending the APC Congresses. The senator and his wife spent some time with the widow. Sen. Ibrahim also signed the condolence letter that reads: “I’m tragically shocked by the news death of Jonathan Gopep. He is and will remain a comrade and a dedicated journalist for over a decade.” The minister of State Foreign Affairs, Khadijah who also signed the register described late Gopep as a fine journalist and a humble gentleman who will be missed by everyone.
