The state Chairman of (KWASIEC) Dr. Abdulrahman Ajidagba said the commission is ready, determined and prepared to conduct a free and credible election
Dr. Ajidagba disclosed this during an exclusive interview with VON Corespondent on Wednesday in his office.
According to him, this is not the first time the commission would be conducting local government election in the state as one was held in October 2013 which was described as one of the most peaceful local government elections held in the state.

Doctor Ajidaga said the commission has a smooth synergy with the various security operatives while all the political parties running in the election have signed an accord to be peaceful during and after the election and ensure that there is no violence.
According to him, about three thousand Ad-hoc staff would be used for the conduct of the exercise but said the service of youth corps members would not be required during this local government election but rather the unemployed youths who have already been trained.
He warned that any staff of the commission or any of the ad-hoc staff found wanting would be severely death with.
The KWASIEC chairman appealed to the electorates and stakeholders of the various political parties to maintain peace and eschew violence before, during and after the election and assured that the commission would maintain fairness.
Doctor Ajidagba cautioned the youths to guide against been used as political thugs.
