Soar Eagles Soar was the theme of the day as Nigeria prepared for the crucial world cup qualifier against the Chipolopolo of Zambia.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria definitely did not disappoint as they defeated the Zambians by a goal to nill. The crucial goal came in the second half courtesy of substitute and Arsenal forward Alexander Iwobi’s strike 17 minutes to the end of full-time.
Nigeria seats comfortable at the top of group B qualifying with 13 points secured in the bag. The victory ensured that Nigeria becomes the first African team to qualify for the penultimate Football showpiece which would be held in Russia in June 2018.
Congratulations to Nigeria and to the fans. For technical adviser Gernot Rohr the next focus would be on integrating the new players with the experienced legs and making sure Nigeria get the 2019 AFCON ticket. #SoarEaglesSour
