Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has called on all Nigerians to support the Nigerian Armed Forces  to fight crime, because insecurity  affects everybody, irrespective  of political  affiliation.

Speaking  during a State Banquet in honour of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai at the Government House Port Harcourt on Thursday night, Governor Wike said when there is no peace, governance  suffers.

He said: “Everybody  must  join hands to fight crime and insecurity.  This  is because insecurity  has no  political  affiliation.

“When there is no peace, there will be no governance.  When there is insecurity, the revenue  of the state will be negatively  affected and it will be  difficult  to  support the  security  agencies with logistics and finance”.
