Manchester United having carelessly given away 3 point in the first leg against their quarter final opposition Anderlecht, they had some serious and tedious work to do at Old Trafford yesterday.

In the opening 10minutes Mikhitaryan gave united the lead with low drive shot from the 18 yard box but Anderlecht soon had their own share of the spoil as they equalised in the 30th minutes. Sofiane Hanni gave Anderlecht the equalizer and that goal led both team into the second half of normal time and also into the extra-time before the yound talent Marco Rashford bailed united out of what seemed like a eventual penalty shootouts for both teams.

United has just been announced to face the spanish club side Celta Vigo in the semi-final. United quest to win an European title since 2009 continues. United successfully won the Uefa champions league back in 2009 against Chelsea.

In the match against Anderlecht, Manchester united team players suffered injuries. Rojo and the Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic were victims of injuries and United fans hopefully and eagerly wait for positive result concerning their (Rojo, Zlatan) injuries.”I want to wait, but my feeling is not good” said Mourinho in a post match discourse.

On the otherhand Lyon would be facing Ajax in the semi-final. Which means the winner between Manchester United and Celta Vigo would battle for the Trophy against either Ajax or Lyon inevitably. It doing down the wire! To who wants it most.
