Senator Ahmed Makarfi may be on his way to jail if he continues to flout court order which was delivered on Feb 17, Sheriff in his suit has asked the court to commit Makarfi and four persons to prison for one year over the alleged contempt.
He also asked the court to close down the factional secretariat being operated by the Markafi group. Makarfi and other faction of the party are believed to have filed an application seeking for stay of execution of the judgement and leave for appeal.
No date has been fixed for the hearing of sheriff case which was filed on Feburary 24.
