Commissioner of Information Akwa Ibom State Condoles Assistant Director over demise of Mother

Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Information and Strategy has commiserated with an Assistant Director in the Ministry, Inibeghe Etuk, on the demise of her mother, late Bar Phelomena Etuk (née Nyong)  aged 77 years.

Until her death, late Barrister (Mrs) Phelomena (Deborah) Etuk, a Christian of the Assemblies of God was a retired Chief State Counsel at the Ministry of Justice and a mother of six children.

In a condolence letter sent to the bereaved Assistant Director, Inibeghe Etuk, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy Comrade Ini Ememobong expressed with regret the sad news of the demise of her mother, at a time her love, friendship and wise counseling were much needed and urged her to be consoled by the fact that, the departed, late Bar Phelomena Etuk led a life worthy of emulation.

Comrade Ini Ememobong acknowledged that it is very painful to loss a beloved mother and the vacuum created  can never be filled but charged Iniheghe to be  comforted that,with a child like her and others in different fields of endeavours, her mother’s name is written in gold and her footprints indelible on the sands of time.

He therefore prayed the good Lord to grant her and indeed the entire bereaved family,  the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and the soul of late Barr (Mrs) Phelomena (Deborah) Etuk (née Nyong) eternal repose in the bosom of God Almighty.

According to family sources, the remains of late Bar (Mrs) Phelomena Etuk will be interred in her family home on Friday October 13, 2023 after a funeral service at the Udo Udoma field, along Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, to be conducted by the Assemblies of God Church, Umoren extension, Uyo at 10am.

The Commissioner enjoined all staff of Ministry of Information to attend the funeral of the deceased mother of their colleague to condole with her and accord her late mother, the last respect.

“We share in the pains of our Assistant Director, Inibeghe Etuk at the loss of her beloved mother and extend our heartfelt condolences”, the Commissioner stated.
