The Stallion Auto Keke Limited (SAKL); has delivered140 tricycles to empower and support small-scale entrepreneurs and other business outfits in Yobe State.

The delivery of the tricycles to the State government, was to create more job opportunities among the unemployed youths and women in the three senatorial districts.

While flagging off the distribution, yesterday (Friday), in Damaturu, Governor Mai Mala Buni, disclosed that the procurement of tricycles; was part of his administration’s efforts to boost youth empowerment in the small and medium scale sectors of the economy.

His words: “There is no doubt that the small and medium-scale businesses can create employment opportunities to reduce poverty among youths.

“This is in continuation of our empowerment programme, by deploying the tricycles to empower and support the unemployed youths,” stating that most of them are willing to engage in small-scale businesses to improve their livelihoods in communities.

According to him, the economic values; are realised through the expansive Stallion Empowerment Initiative (SEI) programme.

Besides the SEI, the programme also focuses on female three-wheeler drivers, mechanics’ training and the assembling of tricycles.

He said that the tricycles are assembled and exclusively distributed in Nigeria by SAKL under the Stallion Group.
