The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has alerted the nation of the plot of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to rig election in Borno and Yobe states through the camps of Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in the two regions. Prince Secondus raised the alarm on Wednesday as the PDP presidential campaign train arrived the two embattled North East states of Borno and Yobe..
The National Chairman told mammoth crowd of party supporters in Damaturu and Maiduguri that the party is privy to a credible intelligence showing that the APC is plotting to use the IDP camps for the manipulation.
Prince Secondus told the people that President Buhari and his APC party have failed in their promise to restore peace in the region, the reason he was voted in 2015.
He said that the President failed the people because he is not in charge as he sourced out the presidency to the cabals who now decide to help themselves.
The National Chairman told the jubilant crowd that the PDP candidate, the former Vice President who hails from the region is equipped to tackle the security challenges of the region as well as confront the issue of poverty, jobs and hunger.
“Atiku has been tested and tried both in public and private sector, he is energetic and will work for twenty four hours to find solutions to your problems and he will be the symbol of unity for the country.
The National reiterated his earlier position that the party I’ll not accept result of a rigged election, noting that the APC has already confirmed their rigging intention on Tuesday at their Ekiti state rally.
Prince Secondus also warned the APC to stop politicizing the security operations by trying to influence the posting of Police Commissioners and other security personnel.
The Presidential candidate who was mobbed by the crowd in the two states assured them that if given the mandidate, his Presidency will tackle the security challenges in the region and try to creat jobs and tackle poverty.
The high points of the rally in the two states was the handing over of victory flag to the PDP governorship candidates .
The Presidential campaign train heads north west on Thursday to Katsina the home state of President Buhari.
