Drama As Church Members Stage Protest Over Missing Money

Some church members in Kenya have embarked on a protest stunning many people.

Members of the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), St. Mathew’s Kiangimai Parish in Embu West Sub-country of Kenya, embarked on a protest on Thursday December 29, 2022 over misused of funds by the church committee.

According to the report, the church members who held up placards and twigs while chanting the protest, demanded immediate dismissal of the whole committee.

The protest was triggered by report of their vicar who has been sent on transfer, not being paid his due for the last two months despite duly paying their contributions toward church development.

The amount is about Ksh8 million while they were also alleging that ksn5 million cannot be accounted for.

A member, Joyce Kiuria said “Our plea to know why our vicar has gone to two months without pay have fallen to deaf ears as none of our elected officials is ready to come clean over the matter.”
