Zamfara Community Allegedly Pays N20m Cash To Bandits To Avoid Attacks, Nigerians React

The people of Gidangoga town in Maradun Local Government Area in Zamfara state have reportedly paid the sum of N20 million Naira cash to bandits to avoid being attacked.

The said ransom was allegedly collected from the community and paid to the bandits as tax to save them from attacks.

Maradun LGA is the home town of the Zamfara State Governor, Alhaji Bello Matawalle.

The information was sighted in a tweet by instablog9ja on Wednesday on their verified Twitter handle, and Nigerians have since reacted to the post.

“Zamfara community reportedly pays N20m cash to bandits to avoid being att@cked,” a Twitter user wrote, and attached some pictures of cash payment being made.
