The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, in charge the newly created Zone 17, Akure, AIG David Folawiyo has arrived Akure, the Ondo State Capital to take on the responsibilities of the new Zone.Arriving the State capital yesterday at about 1750hrs, AIG Folawiyo said he has come to put in place as the pioneer Assistant Inspector-General of Police for the newly established Zone 17, Akure, a foundation of excellent policing. He therefore urged every citizen within the Zone to come together in ensuring that Zone 17, comprising Ekiti and Ondo States, gets the best of assistance it deserves for its smooth take offIt would be recalled that Zone 17 was amongst the last batch of Zonal Commands established by the Police Authority in a recent reorganisation, under the policing supervision of IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, NPM, mni to meet the efficacy of proactive policing in the country.
