LAGOS LAWMAKER COMMENDS THE 100 DAYS IN OFFICE OF SANWO-OLU

Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly has commended the works of the Governor, Mr. Babjide Sanwo-Olu’s  100 days in Office during the Plenary Session held on Tuesday.

Speaking, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade the Majority Leader,  stated that the 100 days of the Governor  is worth celebrating because “He met different unfinished projects such as infrastructural and environmental challenges by the previous administration, however effort has been made to complete some of these projects”.

He further advised the legislative arm of the State to appraise the Governor of his achievements so far.

Hon. Abdul-Sobur Olayiwola acknowledged that there has been improvement in security and environmental challenges in the State, adding that salaries of Civil Servants are paid as at when due. He however advised that the government should not relent on his good works.

Adding his words, Hon. Noheem Adams said that the Governor is a good listener and that on the 3rd of September 2019, he commissioned Eti-Osa maternity center and openly condemned the Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa thereby warning Lagosians against reprisal attacks in Lagos.

Hon. Rotimi Olowo mentioned that Mr. Sanwo-Olu knows how to manage resources because he did not bring supplementary budget.  He was also able to set up committees to look into all ramifications of projects and Security Trust Fund. He also commends the Governor to keep up with his good works

            The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa commended the Governor for a job well done saying “It is not out of place for the parliament to recognize and appreciate his works because governance is about listening and involving the people, thereby encouraging him to do more”.

He further assured him that the House will continue to support and appreciate his administration.

He thereafter directed the Clerk of the House, Mr. Azeez Sanni to forward a Commendation Message to the Governor.
