The Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu,Npm,Mni has directed for deployment of police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) to Edo state as well as lagos,Rivers and other states of the country.
IGp Adamu handed the directives to the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV)Sp Ebere Amaraizu during the recent visit of the team to the Inspector General of Police and the Force Management Team at the Force Headquarters,Abuja.
According to IGP Adamu Mohammed Abubakar,You need to commence urgent deployment of the campaign to states and also monitor the outcome for onward review in line with the international best practices.It will be recalled that that Pocacov which is the initiative of IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu aimed at reducing incidences of cultism and other vices,saving youth from the claws of cultism and other vicesand making our communities safe and secured was formally flagged off in Enugu on 29th August,2019 by the Inspector General Of Police IGP mohammed Abubakar Adamu,Npm,mni.
programme POCACOV is community driven and to involve all relevant stake holders and galvanize their support to reduce the incidences of cultism and other vices in line with the tenet of community oriented policing ,
