Following the kidnap of 18 year old Esther Nnabuo in early september at Ukwu-Orji in Mbaitoli L.G.A, operatives of Anti kidnapping Unit swiftly swung into action and subsequently arrested the below named suspects in their hide-out at Ukwu-Orji in Mbaitoli L.G.A in connection with the crime. One handset believed to be used in negotiation of ransom and two hundred thousand naira (200, 000.00) part of the ransom paid to the hoodlums was also recovered. Suspects have made useful statements to the police confessing to the crime and other kidnap cases along Ukwu-Orji/Onitsha road and its environs. Suspects have been charged to court accordingly.
SUSPECTS:
1. Onyekachi Chinemerem ‘m’ age 23yrs of Umuakai in Isiala Ngwa L.G.A, Abia State.
2. Onyewuchi Chibueze ‘m’ age 27yrs of Amaocha Afara in Mbaitoli L.G.A, Imo State.
3. Uchechukwu Nwakoma ‘m’ age 36yrs of Ndiolu Mbe Isiala Ngwa South L.G.A of Abia State.

ii. Cash sum of two hundred thousand naira (#200, 000.00) part of ransom paid to the suspects
