NISA PREMIER HOSPITAL FETES WASSA IDPS

As part of its corporate social responsibility, a team of doctors from the NISA Premier Hospital, Abuja, visited the Wassa IDP camp, bearing gifts and offering them medical treatments.
 
The head of NISATeam, Dr Abdulrahim Abdulrasheed who Represented Dr Ibrahim  Wada, the NISA  Premier Hospital  Executive Director said “We are here because of the large heart of our Executive Director, Dr Ibrahim Wada who despite our organization being for profit, also has a free heart to form a foundation since we have to fulfil our corporate social responsibility to the communities”
 
” That this event was put together in order to accommodate many people, individually, doctors, nurses administrative staff equally donated personal items to show thier personal commitment to the project”
 
Today is highly significant because it is World Hypertension day, so we are here to test people and see if the have it we treat it, in the next few days it will be World Family Doctors day”
 
“We at NISA have three seasoned family physicians, residency programme  that trains specialists to become family physicians, so all Primary Health and Family doctors are actually celebrating the World Family Doctors day, so we try to give everybody healthcare in one capacity and if need be. we link up with others to extend care to those we cannot reach”
 
The Honourable Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI),  Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq,  while appreciating NISATeam for the effort said “For us in the commission, this is one of the outreach  efforts as part of our intervention programmes and it’s a service to humanity as we hope it will be a continuous exercise”.
 
“We will identify those with serious health challenges and partner with NISA Premier Hospital to see how we can support them healthwise”. added Sadiya.
 
On allegations of siphoning goods meant for IDPs, Sadiya said “This ones are drugs thatbcannot be siphoned and they are administering it already”.
One of the beneficiaries, 11 year old Naomi Emmanuel said,“I am very happy that they are doctors here to check my health”.
 
“we only have a small place (referring to the Primary Healthcare centre). This time, a real  doctor will check me” she added
 
Habibat  Azeez  one of the women says she is thankful that her baby has received medication and she has been checked and verified to be in good health.
 
The NISATeam went with medications and gifts items ranging from pillows, bedspread and clothings.
