I AM NOT MAD -OBASANJO WIFE

Taiwo Obasanjo one of the wives of former President Olusegun Obasanjo wants to stage a public protest on May 11 and 13 being the two days of her son’s wedding. She said she has already informed the police about the protest. She said she is organising the protest not because she is against the event but she wants the date to be shifted. She alleged that the dates chosen may precipitate untold misery for the country.

Taiwo also alleged that the dates were chosen to lure unsuspecting numerous souls to a banquet of death.

In a swift reaction to allegations that she is insane Taiwo said she is not mad. In March, Taiwo had approached the Lagos State High Court Ikeja seeking to stop the wedding. The suit was filed before Justice Lateefa Okunnu.She sought a court declaration that as the mother of the groom she has parental right to take part in decisions and other activities for the wedding.

She claimed that wedding invite cards had been distributed without her involvement in the wedding plans.

Taiwo claimed to have resorted to filing the suit after her plea to Obasanjo and  Kessington Adebutu popularly known as Baba Ijebu the brides father fell on deaf ears.

Hearing was fixed for April 10. But she lost the case
