Sunday Mbang, a former prelate, methodist church, Nigeria has come under attacks by some Nigerians following a statement he made that the former President Olusegun Obasanjo is the best president Nigeria has ever had. Because of the enduring institution he established while in office.
Segun Oladimeji, said Mbang statement is relative and is not based on facts. “Mbang is just expressing his personal opinion which is not the opinion of all Nigerians.”
John Moses a teacher agrees with Oladimeji. He said “if Mbang says Obasanjo is the best what will he say about Muritala Mohammed who was in office for just six months and we saw results. What will he say about Buhari/ Idiagbon regime that fought against corruption and indiscipline.
Remi Idowu, a nurse also condemned Mbang’s statement “most of the challenges that Nigeria is facing today started from the time of Obasanjo, what did he do about the allegations of , corruption during his tenure? Look at this library was it his personal money he used in building it? No. How transperent were the donations for the library?” She asked.
