Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Alvaro Morata and Gareth Bale are set to come back from injury and they are expected to feature in saturday’s La Liga game against Espanyol. Zidane also added that the likes of Karim Benzema, goalkeeper Keylor Navas and midfielder Luka Modric will be rested after tedious Wednesday’s 3-1 Champions League victory over Napoli. More so, the spaniard defender Sergio Ramos will miss out of the game against Espanyol on Saturday as a result of a knock he had picked up during the mid-week game against Napoli.
Ahead of the match against Espanyol in the weekend, it is worthy of note, that Espanyol have not had a good scoring record against Madrid in their previous 14 games. They were heavily defeated in their last encounter by 6 goals to nil. They would be hoping to break the jinx in this next encounter. It will be a tussling encounter as they would fight so hard to bring thier long goalless record to a halt.
Zidane added “Tomorrow’s game is against an opponent we have been getting good results lately, and we know how difficult the game will be again” he said. “But it is the same every weekend, every three days. We are focused”.
